HOW IT BEGAN

Our story began in 2026.

Students came together with a simple idea: create a place where Emirati students and the wider community in the D.C. area could meet, support one another and feel a little closer to home.

The UAE Student Society was established to nurture friendships, support new arrivals, celebrate UAE culture with people from different backgrounds, and make the student experience more connected.

THE STORY BEHIND THE HUB

An idea rooted in

Founded and led by Sultan Alblooshi

The initiative was born from a straightforward question: how can we make the journey from education to a career more connected, accessible, and purposeful for our students?

Sultan Alblooshi created the UAE Society Career Hub and continues to lead its work to connect student ambitions with professional pathways. Through employer engagement, career conversations, practical resources, and internship opportunities, the Hub is building bridges between the classroom and the world of work.
